How to Host a Fun and Festive St. Patrick’s Day at Home

March 12, 2020, Author: Tamra Cater

With St. Patrick’s Day right around the corner, there is no better time to start planning a party for your closest friends and family. Whether you’re looking to fire up the BBQ, or just drink some pinch-proof punch, Mint’s created a couple of fun games to get your party started when on a budget. Thus, you can have an amazing St. Patrick’s Day at home with these great ideas!

Step 1: Protect Yourself

First things first, you have to protect your pot of gold, a.k.a, your money. When planning a party, expenses can really start to rack up. You can’t really blame yourself, you just want your guests to have the best time possible!

When planning your party, print out our Planning Checklist to make sure you stick to your budget:

Step 2: Invite Your Lucky Guests

You can’t have a party without the guests! Brainstorm who you’d like to have at your green party. Once you have decided, print out our invites, cut them out, and mail them off to all your lucky guests. If you aren’t able to get everything you need at the store, add a reminder at the bottom of each invite of an item your guests can bring to make the party even better!

Step 3: Take Your Party Outside

The greenery in your backyard might be just the right amount of decoration without having to do much decorating. Add a table for all your food choices, some seats, and even a little fire pit if you really want to go over the top. Once your guests have confirmed whether they are able to make it or not, send them golden tickets. Have each guest hand them over at the entrance to your leprechaun party.

Step 4: Plan Your Brunch!

Now onto the good part, getting your party ready to go! While your food starts coming out of the oven, off the stove, or even out of the fridge or freezer, make sure you have our food labels all cut out and ready to go! Label each leprechaun friendly item and display them neatly on your table for your guests to easily navigate what they want on their plate.

Step 6: Have a Photo Shoot

You must take pictures for your friends and family to look back on years to come! To make this even more special, cut out our photo booth props. Even tape them to a stick to hold up and make funny faces while looking at the camera. Print and hand out these pictures for your guests to keep, during our after the party has come to a wrap.

Step 7: Find the Pot O’ Gold

There has to be some gold hidden somewhere in your house! While one of you starts wrapping up dinner, have a sneaky little leprechaun rummage around your place to leave some extra gold treasures.
